Welcome!

An introduction:

Roads

Pittsburgh is a city seemingly always under construction. It’s hard to find a long stretch of road somewhere in or around the city without any kind of construction or delays because of construction, and the situation’s been the same for a pretty long time now. It’s starting to look like it’s gonna be like this for a while longer.

Yes, roads sustain a lot of damage over the years and yes, they need to be fixed. However, little to no warning is given to the public about where, and when a road will be going under construction. There is also little to no sure estimated time that it will take to complete the construction, leaving commuters frustrated and confused during their daily routine. There has to be a solution to this problem.

Let’s face it: it wouldn’t be so bad if the city actually warned the public about road closings and how long they are expected to last. This website is an attempt to bring this solution to reality, by saying what roads are closed and how long they will be closed for. This website is Pittsburgh-specific, so don’t expect to find information on every street in the world here. Over the course of the next few weeks, information will be posted here, including text, maps, photos, timelines, and video and audio information collected directly from reliable sources knowledgeable on the subject.

Check back here regularly for new information, which will be posted as it is collected. Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the future updates!
